DEPARTURES FROM ROSE BAY, SYDNEY HARBOUR

Rose Bay Marina- situated underneath the The Boathouse restaurant.  Take the stairs on the right hand side of the restaurant down onto the Marina deck, where Richard will greet you and convey you to the seaplane.

594 New South Head Road
Rose Bay NSW

GETTING TO ROSE BAY

FERRY

You can get to our seaplane base at Rose Bay from the city by ferry. Ferries depart from Circular Quay. It is a good idea to check at the ferry terminal at Circular Quay to get correct information about which service/s will connect with your flight departure/arrival. When you arrive at Rose Bay, you will need to walk right as you disembark, and follow the sea wall back towards the city for about 7 minutes. We depart from the Rose Bay Marina which is the first building you will come to on that side of the road. The Rose Bay Marina complex sits underneath The Boathouse restaurant at 594 New South Head Road.

The Kiosk /café is a great spot for a coffee while you wait on the Marina deck.

WATER TAXI

A water taxi from Circular Quay or Darling Harbour is a very efficient way of getting to Rose Bay, although more expensive than a land taxi. The water taxi can drop you at the Rose Bay Marina. We recommend Water Taxis Combined, phone: (02) 9555-8888. Please ensure you arrive at the ROSE BAY MARINA, not at the Catalina restaurant site.

TAXI / UBER

Tell the driver to use his GPS to 594 New South Head Road, Rose Bay.

Tip: Don’t mention “seaplanes” as the driver is likely to take you to the wrong location. Just give the driver the address of the Rose Bay Marina (The Boathouse Restaurant).

If you need a taxi when you arrive back at Rose Bay please arrange this yourself. You should ask Steve for an estimated ETA and pre-order the taxi. Please don’t ask Steve to make these arrangements on your behalf, as we are usually on very tight turn-around schedules and do not have the time to make these calls. Often it is more effective to hail a cab on New South Head Road or book an Uber.

PARKING

There is no dedicated parking for seaplanes in Rose Bay, so we suggest that you find a free park on one of the residential streets on the opposite side of New South Head Road.  To assist you with this, you will be sent a map of our departure location along with your Flight Confirmation.

DEPARTURES FROM PALM BEACH, Northern Beaches

We are currently arriving / departing from “The Anchorage” at Palm Beach. The address for “The Anchorage” is Snapperman Lane, off Iluka Road Palm Beach.

GETTING TO PALM BEACH

Allow about an hour from the city, depending on traffic, to drive to Palm Beach. We advise to avoid Military Road and instead go through Roseville and the Wakehurst Parkway.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

The only direct transport from the city to Palm Beach is the B1 bus from Wynyard station. Or you can take the ferry across to Manly and take a bus from there. It will take about 1.5- 2hrs each way though, so please check https://transportnsw.info for exact times.

TAXI/ UBER

Type in “The Anchorage” at Palm Beach when booking transport. Tell them you will be waiting at the entrance of Snapperman Lane.
